Senior Account Executive (Digital Marketing)

Job Title: Senior Account Executive (Digital Marketing)
Reports to: Director (Marketing and Media Relations)
Location: New York
Position Summary: The Senior Account Executive (Digital Marketing) will be responsible for day-to-day client relations, execution of client social media and digital campaigns, and supporting the advancement of social media and digital service offerings and development. They will manage expectations and any direct report/s to ensure that the agency is delivering against but not outside of the client’s scope of work. The SAE will also execute the agency’s and the CEO’s social media channels in order to contribute to business development. The SAE should have some background in graphic design, photography and video, marketing, creative and art direction, UI/UX, with a strong interest in the art world. Knowledge of Web 3 is a plus.
Essential Job Functions (duties include but are not limited to the following):
Client Facing
- Contribute to agency in offering best-in-class social experiences, content, creative and analytics to clients and the agency’s marketing efforts
- Execute FITZ & CO’s digital marketing and social media service offering for various clients including but not limited to client email communications, content strategy, content creation, digital storytelling, community management, paid social media advertising, social listening, and influencer marketing
- Develop a clear understanding of our clients’ key business objectives and challenges in relation to social and digital strategy; and look for creative and strategic ways to solve their problems and grow the impact of their channels
- Run client social media channels including creating content calendars, social content creation, analytics, paid social, & community management against KPIs, to be set in concert with client and Director
- Support on-site client events, inclusive of the following: live content capture and influencer management
- Analyze clients’ social activities across all major social networks and actively mine social conversations for relevant insights and opportunities to engage, maximizing ROI for clients
- Identify and engage social media influencers and content creators; broker relationships between influencers and clients, including support in drafting contracts, scopes of work, and on-site relationship management
Agency Marketing in Support of Business Development
- Proactively manage FITZ & CO’s social media, website and other digital platforms to ensure that the agency’s social media and digital presence reflect current agency positioning and business goals (content strategy, creation, community management and analytics) as articulated by Director and CEO
- Run FITZ & CO’s social media channels including creating content calendars, social content creation, community management against KPIs to be set in concert with Director
- Proactively contribute to CEO’s social media channels (Instagram, X formerly known as Twitter, LinkedIn, etc) in support of agency marketing initiatives
- Provide analytics on FITZ and CEO’s social channels working to meet and exceed KPIs
- Market the agency through direct marketing email including power lists and holiday greetings
- Maintain agency website, updating copy and images regularly
- Support the Director in the constant evolution of the agency’s digital and social offerings, regularly identifying new capabilities
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in FITZ & CO’s New York office. We are currently working on a hybrid schedule in office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and optionally in office Tuesdays and Fridays. (Schedule subject to change at CEO’s discretion). The Senior Account Executive will be expected to travel to domestic and international client events; and, on occasion, service clients’ crisis communications needs outside of regular working hours given the ever-changing digital landscape. Because we work across time zones, the Senior Account Executive is required to be available before and after normal office hours (M-F, 10-6) and occasionally on weekends. Every member of the FITZ & CO team must adopt and make daily use of office systems such as time tracking (Harvest) and the CRM (Hubspot and MuckRack).
Requirements:
Digital Skills & Expertise
- Experience creating content on all popular digital platforms, as well as a detailed knowledge of each platform’s tools and functionalities including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, RED, and any emerging platforms
- Ability to measure and analyze key digital metrics via Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, Facebook for Business, etc. and experience with our tools and services to generate proper Social Media reporting, such as Sprout Social, etc.
- Experience in creating visually impactful and well written effective marketing decks in PowerPoint, invitation copy and direct marketing emails
- Developed strong aesthetic in content and asset creation. Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects), and basic website maintenance
- Experience with light image retouching / video editing programs is a must
General
- B.A. Degree
- 4-8 years of experience with digital/social media account management, depending on portfolio
- Previous full-time agency experience and/or experience working in a fast-paced setting a must
- Experience developing and implementing social media, email, digital and integrated marketing campaigns from planning through content creation
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) for both client and internal relations: persuasive, strategic, proactive, diplomatic
- Demonstrates leadership and professionalism to clients, colleagues, and direct reports
- Organized and proactive timeline and production management, and ability to juggle multiple deadlines and client priorities
- A demonstrated ability to create visually dynamic and impactful digital and social media content is essential
- A demonstrated passion for, and superb understanding of, the social media landscape, preferably in the context of the art world
- Interest in the art world is a plus
